Recuprenda is leading the circularity concept in the European textile sector by integrating in the same project all recovery stages of textiles: reuse, repair and prepare for recycling. This innovative wide approach has established Recuprenda as the central station where all streams pre and postconsumer (fashion and outdoor brands) arrive to be sorted and given the optimal destination to properly accomplish with the circular economy principles: sustainability through profitability.

This project has received the prestigious Seal of Excellence, Certificate delivered by the European Commission, as the institution managing Horizon 2020, the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation 2014-2020 (H2020-EIC-SMEInst-2020-4 H2020-EIC Accelerator pilot –SME Instrument – Green Deal).

The Circular Economy Hub for Textiles was evaluated by an international panel of independent experts and scored as a high-quality project proposal in a highly competitive evaluation process, which means passing all stringent Horizon 2020 assessment thresholds for the 3 award criteria (excellence, impact, quality and efficiency of implementation) required to receive the support of the EU within Horizon 2020 scheme.
